The Global Wire is an independent world-news desk. We monitor reporting from established outlets across every continent, verify what is being claimed, and rewrite each story in clear, plain English — always naming and linking the publisher that reported it first.
What we publish
Seven desks — world, politics, business, technology, science, health and sport — updated around the clock. Every article is an original piece of writing produced by our newsroom, not a copied feed item. Where a story originates with another outlet, that outlet is credited in the text, in the byline area, in a standing attribution box, and in machine-readable structured data on the page.
How we work
Our newsroom operates a review-and-publish pipeline: candidate stories are gathered from credible publishers, drafted to Associated Press style conventions, checked against the original report for factual drift, and then published with a permanent link back to the source. Editors can revise any published article at any time, and every revision is retained in an internal version history.
Independence and funding
